There's an English translation of this piece below. The site is run by Asahi Newspaper, second largest newspaper companies in Japan. Asahi.com has 8.2 million unique visitors and 230 million page views per month. Heck.

"CHERCHBI drew my attention in accessories. He uses precious wool from the Lake District. A lot of these sheep were burned due to foot-and-mouth disease ten years ago. The wool is strong and treated so made waterproof. His design is warm and remains interesting. This is his debut collection but he already has business agreement with Fortnum and Mason."

Japanese paper Senken Shimbun

UK Fashion and Jewellery Showcase - Determined Craftsmanship and Mode including fashionable eco brands

UK Fashion and Jewellery Showcase was held in Aoyama. Thanks to strong Japanese yen, a good number of orders were generated, especially for made in UK men’s items.

CHERCHBI, which is going to make its debut in Pitti Uomo next January is a bag brand with eco-friendly view point. The texture of leather piped wool is rough like Harris Tweed. They manage, after three years of trial and error, to use wool of meat sheep that used to be abandoned because it was difficult to spin. He is determined to make in the UK as the wool is from the Lake District, the spinning in Northern Ireland and weaving in Wales.
